Trying new hair care
Now it's vacation and no one wants to bring big packages. So now I'm going to try these. We'll see if they're good. They felt like very handy sizes but only the miracle oil seems to be available in the right size here at Lyko. Got these in a Christmas calendar. The shampoo is 100ml and the intense mask is 75ml. Maybe I should first try the hotel's shampoo because most of those tend to be pretty bad. Time to cut
I don’t usually cut open packaging, but we’ve talked about this before, some leave a lot behind. In the picture, you can see about half of what was left in the upper half that had the least left. There’s still a lot left in the one now set aside, and the video was taken quite early this morning. Now I’ll tell you why I cut it open. Yesterday, when I squeezed hard with both hands to get the last bit out, it sprayed out with such force that I got cream on my shirt, the table, and a bit everywhere.. You can probably imagine both my shock and my appearance. So that’s why the scissors came out today. The product itself unfortunately isn’t one of Clarins’ best. They usually have very good products, even if they are in the slightly more expensive segment. Just hairspray and pins
Just today, it maybe didn’t go as I had planned, so I’ll tell you about the idea and the mistakes I made so you can try to redo it and do it right. Dry hairspray makes the hair curl a little, and if you pull the hair apart and spray, you get gigantic volume with some curls that you can pin up and make your hair look like much more and maybe a bit longer. Start by pinning up a part of the hair in a ponytail. Use a suitable size ponytail (as small as possible and preferably quite thin). Here I made mistake 1. I took a bit too little hair but mainly pinned it too high up on the head. Better to pin it more in the middle. Then you spray the hair. It can be good to start with what you pinned in the ponytail. I took the lower part first and then it got weirder. Make sure to pull apart properly. Finally, pin up one section at a time with hairpins and make sure to bring them up from different angles. Note that many hairpins are required. My second big mistake was that I only found 9 hairpins, and then you take too large amounts of hair and it becomes more of a bush than elegant. Anyway, the hairstyle can become really nice and fits well on fairly short hairstyles to a bit more shoulder-length hair but not as well on very long hair. The only thing needed is a good and dry hairspray. I know I used to use a hairspray from L'Oréal Professionnel before, but now I had this one from Björn Axén instead.

Finally finished
Today I managed, with a little overdose, to finish the attached tube. There might absolutely be a little left in the tube if you bother to cut it open. I don't think it's worth it. The product doesn't work well enough for me for me to be interested in buying it again. Unboxing haul
Finally my #lo arrived Looking forward to making some changes to my skincare routine. It feels like a beplain+cosrx that will continue for a bit now but with some additions from today's purchases and refills. Then I'm thinking about trying smuuti over the summer, so I bought what was needed to have a full routine of that as well. I already have a lot of mixsoon that I haven't had time to try yet, so now I think I almost have a decent routine of that too. So much exciting and fun to try.. 😍 Also very happy about the testers I got, especially the dry shampoo (including full-size as product info) - thanks LYKO. One wash is enough
You absolutely do not need to double shampoo with this product. It’s concentrated, has the perfect consistency, and it takes quite a little product to get the hair clean. The cleanliness also lasts longer than any other shampoo I’ve tried, about 12-24 hours longer, the hair looks freshly washed and fresh without using dry shampoo or anything else. Lots of volume, and as several have already pointed out, the scent also lasts a long time. I could even still smell a bit of it even though I had showered again after 24 hours and hadn’t used any products in my hair at that shower. So why only 4 stars? My scalp gets a bit dry, actually it was itchy dry at first, probably the hair got a bit dry too but I put a drop of oil distributed over all the hair while it was wet (as I usually do) and then the hair is silky soft, airy, and dreamy. For the scalp, shampoo and conditioner alone aren’t enough, you need something more. Maybe a leave-in like #björnaxen themselves wrote? I’ve used other things on my scalp and then it’s good.
