💙 Clarins Hydra-Essentiel [HA²] Silky Cream
I have been testing Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream for about a week and my first impression is really good! ✨ The cream has an incredibly rich, very smooth texture and feels almost velvety on the skin. However, this is not the cream for you if you are looking for a really wet glass-skin finish; it rather gives a soft, smooth type of hydrated feeling 🤍 I also think it has a fairly strong scent. The scent gives me a very classic French luxury feeling, rather than the more minimalist and modern feeling I often associate with, for example, Korean skincare. I still like the scent, but the fact that it is quite strong lowers the overall rating a bit. Perfect as primer and night mask ✨
Now that I have been using this for almost 20 days and everytime I use it my skin gets well #nourished. Whenever i put the cream it gets absorbed totally by my skin, leaving it #smooth and #glowy. I am really fun of the pump up packaging because it’s practical and hygenic! ➖The only thing I didn’t appeeciate was the smell. It’s supposed to be perfume free, but it smells like plastic. However, it doesn't absorb well enough for me, so I feel a bit sticky afterward. The worst part is that it leaves a yellowish tint. When I had it on my face, I looked sick. So I became like a newborn with jaundice, smooth and soft but sickly yellow. Hopefully, it suits someone else better. Not a good match for me
Unfortunately, Klairs face mask does not match my specific skin type. But that doesn’t mean it’s bad. 🤔 My skin type is light, mature, and dry. I have reached menopause and no longer have as much oil in my skin as I did just a couple of years ago. So that means I haven’t quite figured it out yet. 🌿 Klairs face mask contains substances from algae and plants that are meant to create a film that locks in moisture. I found this film very uncomfortable. It was especially uncomfortable on my neck and chest. 🧴 I tried applying more cream, but then it never fully dried and became sticky. I also tried moisturizing the skin before the cream, but with the same result. 😔 The cream obviously has a tightening effect and binds moisture. So basically, it should be perfect for me at my age. But there is something about my skin and the cream that didn’t work together. 💗 It’s a shame because this is a very good cream. I can see that from the other reviews. But not everything suits everyone. 💗 I had no reactions and perceive the cream as mild and gentle. 🕰️ I only used the cream for 4-5 days and can’t say anything about long-term results. 🫧 I think the jar is pretty, but personally, I’m not so fond of jars. Tubes are more convenient and often more hygienic. 🍋 The scent is fresh, of lemon and flowers. The scent does not come from perfume but from essential oils. The scent is discreet.
