Evening look/ testing the Shiseido Skin Radiant lifting
I tried an evening look tonight and I’m honestly so happy with how the base turned out ✨ I don’t have false lashes or a good mascara yet, but the skin is stunning. Prep: I did some preparation (not a lot bcz it was very spontaneous). I used the glow serum and cream from LUMENE and started putting foundation on humid skin! As you can see the result is very #glowy and #shiny 😁 Base: I used the shiseido skin Radiant Lifting Foundation with the NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP 3C Conceal Correct and wow… I can’t describe my happiness of the result. I have dry skin and it sat perfectly, smooth, glowy, and super comfortable 💫 Good coverage for my dark under-eye circles and the veins around my nose so well while still looking natural. It blended with the correctors from Nyx without problem. It’s amazingly buildable and never went cakey, even after setting the layers with the correctors, concealer and later the #elf #bronzer. #shiseido #skin #radiant #lifting is a dream foundation for dry skin 🌸 it gives a radiant glow as promised and I set it with the LHcosmetics setting powder, which is light as feather, penetrates the skin pores and gives you a real-life filter on your face. For the blush, i used Makeup Revolution’s compact countouring in Fair. Eyeshadow: #hudabeauty Desert Dusk And the final touch: the setting spray from #lumene, which gives you a satin amazing finish. I want to mention that the pictures are not edited at all! There is No filter at all (you can see my forehead wrinkles). When I saw this palette, I immediately got very hungry for it, especially now in the fall when the colors fit so well. But it's tricky with palettes from Revolution, they are mostly a bit "hit or miss". So my skepticism was high regarding this palette, while I of course really hoped it would be super good. It is different from the palettes I have tried from Revolution before. It has several different textures to experiment with, though I haven't done that much yet, but maybe it will come. I've stuck to matte and a little shimmer, and I can tell you that they are actually really pigmented! It's not the best formula I've experienced on matte shadows, but it works beyond expectations, and the olive green shade farthest away has drawn me in every other day. There are two cream shadows at one end that Revolution describes can be used among other things as a base and liner... I don't know, I haven't tried them at all. But otherwise, there are different shimmers and also a foil in an interesting texture, like a solidified gelé type (?) And it is extremely pigmented, as a foil should be. It feels like this palette is settling in with me. Disappointment!
I had this a few years ago, and it was a palette I was really excited about. The colors, or "color story", look so incredibly nice! A bit autumnal "musty" like! It turned out to be a disappointment of a palette. The matte colors are poorly pigmented or apply extremely patchy, and the glittery ones just fall off. Super hard to work with, and I found it almost impossible to get a good makeup look with this palette alone. Would not recommend it, even if you are tempted by the lovely colors! I also think it has a good format, not too big and clunky. But honestly, that's the only positive thing I can think of to say. I actually threw my copy away, and that doesn't happen often.
