But maybe more of a heartfelt sigh. Because I bought products from Catrice for the first time a few weeks ago. Had I known there would be such an affordable calendar, I would have bought that instead. Because I wanted to test the brand itself. For those who don’t know Catrice, I want to say a few words. I have now tested four products from them – I am done with one review. And I am very impressed. Even though the price is low and the packaging cheap. Because the products almost reach the level of the more well-known and expensive brands. But I have also learned that Catrice can have varying quality, as they often change the collection to catch trends. So it’s not certain that all the content is equally good. But still. This must be an excellent gift for someone exploring makeup for the first time, but also for those who are experienced. I am a grown woman and I can definitely appreciate Catrice. You also get earrings, nail polish, and a scrunchie. The products in my picture – blush, setting powder, setting spray, and a skin tint – I put together a nice look with them. If there are any copies left after Christmas, I might buy it. Either for myself or my niece. But others can buy it first. It’s hard to give the right number of stars to the calendar since I’m unfamiliar with the content. But I can give it four. I haven't bought this calendar for my husband, even though I've really, really wanted to. So I have to say a few words to those considering buying it. 🏆 I've looked at all the products and I think they all seem great, and some of them I KNOW are. There are well-known brands and some less known, but none of poor quality. 🏆 I also like that there's an electric toothbrush included. That was a fun twist. The perfumes from Nõberu also have very good scents, masculine but fresh. 🏆 There's no typical calendar filler here, like Christmas decorations or scented candles. 😔 But I've realized how hard it is to please all men with a beauty and wellness advent calendar, or a By Lyko Lovables for men for that matter. 😔 My husband doesn't have hair on his head! And that's not unusual for an adult man. In this calendar, I've counted 8 hair products for men. All good. 😔 Other men again don't have beards. And there are three beard products. Also good products. 😔 So if a man has neither beard nor hair on his head, there's not much calendar left. 🏆 I understand it has to be that way. But on the positive side, there's no lubricant included. For many, it's uncomfortable to buy that for, for example, a younger family member. 🎁 But I really recommend it to those who want to buy an advent calendar for a man, whether it's a son, a nephew, a dad, or their loved one. If he has a beard and hair on his head, that is. 🎁 Well, I don't have many problems in life when I get frustrated over an advent calendar. But it is so incredibly nice. This almost got too exciting!
🎁 But I managed to order, and I hope everything goes as it should. I won’t take anything for granted until I get the notification that it has been shipped. 🎁 I picked out this calendar early because I have grown very fond of K-beauty products. So many nice things! 🎁 And this is a calendar I won’t open all at once, but one door at a time. That’s how the first 24 days of December will start in a nice way. 🎁 It might seem expensive, and I was in doubt, but I know I will get a lot of joy from it. 🎁 I know unfortunately not everyone will get it. 🤔 I had to think carefully about what I really wanted this year regarding advent calendars. After all, they do cost a bit. 🌨️ The advent season can be dark, and there can be a lot of bad weather, and not least stress. Whether it’s yourself who is stressed or others around you. 🌸 That was my starting point, and I chose wellness as the theme. I wanted a calendar with shower soaps and body lotion in different scents. And The Body Shop’s calendar has that. And more. 💚 But nostalgia was also part of the choice. I first shopped at The Body Shop in the early 90s as a teenager, and into the 2000s. Then I forgot about the brand. 🥰 Now I want to rediscover it. Both the scents and the quality. I want to see if it’s as good as I remember it being. 🎁 I like the box. It’s sturdy enough, there’s nothing to assemble, and there’s not more cardboard than necessary. 💚 I think the box fits well with typical Christmas decorations and it’s not bulky either. It’s nice to look at and I really like the design. ❌ Note! I think Lumene's advent calendar looks really good this year, with a nice mix of both skincare (14 products) and makeup (10 products). And a whole 12 full-size products!!! I like that. I usually buy advent calendars in this category - beauty and wellness - open them up, and give 2-3 small gifts in addition to the "main" Christmas gift. But maybe I'll buy this calendar for myself? I also think the box looks beautiful. The whole calendar is a great gift. I really like Lumene as a brand and have tested several of their products. Bought myself, or sent for testing as #lykoinflutester. Both skincare and makeup products. I perceive Lumene's products as mild and nice products that also suit those with sensitive skin. "Everyone" can tolerate Lumene. And the products smell so good, yet discreet.
