My rating is a well-deserved 5/5 stars. My journey with this year's premium calendars started when I bought this red case and the other, white, typically Korean one right at the beginning. In this red 24K edition, I was mainly tempted by the amazing, luxurious hair and care brands worth trying 🥰 The case is beautiful, made of thick, plush material with a gorgeous coral-red traditional tweed weave texture. The reinforced sides, solid gold zipper, and beautifully embossed logo make it look like a luxury suitcase😍 Inside hides a satin paradise – the products are packed in cute, red bags made of luxurious satin, and a delicately crafted holiday charm is attached to the zipper. The whole set was perfectly packed by the warehouse – the box was perfectly fitted, nothing was forced in, and all seams are intact. My rating is a well-deserved 5/5 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ This Korean calendar is an absolute masterpiece of the world and the complete opposite of my previous unpleasant logistical adventures with the Mind Glown bag. ❤️ From the very beginning, you can see the highest premium standard here. I bought the case in one order together with the red 24K case for a total amount of over 1200 PLN. The store split my order into two separate packages – the white one arrived in Poland express and I picked it up on Saturday, while I still have to wait a bit longer for the red one because it is extremely popular. The white set amazed me from the first opening🥰 The case arrived in a perfect, large, and stiff carton, so nothing could get crushed. The outer material with intertwined gold thread and embroidered logo looks incredibly rich. The case in real life is simply huge and solid – it easily fits a whole bunch of cosmetics. Inside everything is perfect in terms of packing and the entire content. There is perfect order here – in both compartments there are exactly 12 cosmetic items packed in beautiful, satin pouches, which together make a full, rich set of 24 surprises😍 I also can’t help but mention the lovely holiday hanger and the cute stars on the zippers – enameled details in the shape of a Christmas tree, stocking, and candy cane are just beautiful and incredibly atmospheric🤩🎄❤️⭐️ I counted the contents and it is 100% complete, not a single number is missing. All Asian cosmetics are factory fresh and have great, long expiration dates. My rating is a strong 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE! Compensation from Lyko! 🚨 Referring to my review below – the Polish customer service office responded quickly and rose to the occasion! Logistical errors have been fully corrected: 1️⃣ The missing bag no. 7 was sent to me 😊 Inside I found the promised iconic mini NARS blush and a sample of L’Occitane oil (I’m adding a photo to the gallery!). 😍 2️⃣ For the torn seam of the collective bag, I received a 75 PLN voucher from the store for my next purchase! 💸 Huge plus for Lyko for their professional approach to premium customers and quick problem resolution. The cosmetic content still deserves a strong 4/5, and now the bad taste from logistics has been completely erased! 💜✨ ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ Regarding the cosmetic content itself, there are good premium brands like Natasha Denona, Oribe, Dr Dennis Gross, Paula’s Choice, and Elixir Cosmeceuticals, which suit my mature and dry skin as well as demanding curls. All the cosmetics I found inside have perfect, long expiration dates. Unfortunately, the joy of unboxing was completely spoiled by the poor packaging quality and quality control in the warehouse. The luxurious plum-colored collective bag was forcibly and thoughtlessly squeezed into a too-small box. Under the enormous pressure during transport, the side seam of the bag simply tore, leaving a large, unsightly hole 🥹 Worse, in my copy, the entire bag number 7 was missing, in which the iconic NARS blush should have been (instead of 28 planned products, I have 27) 💔 Because of this, the whole thing looks like a reject from the sorting plant, not a premium product for so much money, because I think this set is not worth that much. Additionally, I think that with such a high calendar price, the manufacturer unnecessarily included a plastic massaging gadget inside. Such devices are, for me, just fillers – not everyone will use it, and the quality of workmanship is far below the rest. In my opinion, a more useful cosmetic like a luxury serum should have been included 🤩 Of course, the issue with the missing cosmetic and the torn bag has been reported to the Polish customer service office, and I am waiting for their response. Logistics and customer treatment are a big minus, which reduces the value of the whole set. But maybe more of a heartfelt sigh. Because I bought products from Catrice for the first time a few weeks ago. Had I known there would be such an affordable calendar, I would have bought that instead. Because I wanted to test the brand itself. For those who don’t know Catrice, I want to say a few words. I have now tested four products from them – I am done with one review. And I am very impressed. Even though the price is low and the packaging cheap. Because the products almost reach the level of the more well-known and expensive brands. But I have also learned that Catrice can have varying quality, as they often change the collection to catch trends. So it’s not certain that all the content is equally good. But still. This must be an excellent gift for someone exploring makeup for the first time, but also for those who are experienced. I am a grown woman and I can definitely appreciate Catrice. You also get earrings, nail polish, and a scrunchie. The products in my picture – blush, setting powder, setting spray, and a skin tint – I put together a nice look with them. If there are any copies left after Christmas, I might buy it. Either for myself or my niece. But others can buy it first. It’s hard to give the right number of stars to the calendar since I’m unfamiliar with the content. But I can give it four. I haven't bought this calendar for my husband, even though I've really, really wanted to. So I have to say a few words to those considering buying it. 🏆 I've looked at all the products and I think they all seem great, and some of them I KNOW are. There are well-known brands and some less known, but none of poor quality. 🏆 I also like that there's an electric toothbrush included. That was a fun twist. The perfumes from Nõberu also have very good scents, masculine but fresh. 🏆 There's no typical calendar filler here, like Christmas decorations or scented candles. 😔 But I've realized how hard it is to please all men with a beauty and wellness advent calendar, or a By Lyko Lovables for men for that matter. 😔 My husband doesn't have hair on his head! And that's not unusual for an adult man. In this calendar, I've counted 8 hair products for men. All good. 😔 Other men again don't have beards. And there are three beard products. Also good products. 😔 So if a man has neither beard nor hair on his head, there's not much calendar left. 🏆 I understand it has to be that way. But on the positive side, there's no lubricant included. For many, it's uncomfortable to buy that for, for example, a younger family member. 🎁 But I really recommend it to those who want to buy an advent calendar for a man, whether it's a son, a nephew, a dad, or their loved one. If he has a beard and hair on his head, that is. 🎁 Well, I don't have many problems in life when I get frustrated over an advent calendar. But it is so incredibly nice. 🤔 I had to think carefully about what I really wanted this year regarding advent calendars. After all, they do cost a bit. 🌨️ The advent season can be dark, and there can be a lot of bad weather, and not least stress. Whether it’s yourself who is stressed or others around you. 🌸 That was my starting point, and I chose wellness as the theme. I wanted a calendar with shower soaps and body lotion in different scents. And The Body Shop’s calendar has that. And more. 💚 But nostalgia was also part of the choice. I first shopped at The Body Shop in the early 90s as a teenager, and into the 2000s. Then I forgot about the brand. 🥰 Now I want to rediscover it. Both the scents and the quality. I want to see if it’s as good as I remember it being. 🎁 I like the box. It’s sturdy enough, there’s nothing to assemble, and there’s not more cardboard than necessary. 💚 I think the box fits well with typical Christmas decorations and it’s not bulky either. It’s nice to look at and I really like the design. ❌ Note! I think Lumene's advent calendar looks really good this year, with a nice mix of both skincare (14 products) and makeup (10 products). And a whole 12 full-size products!!! I like that. I usually buy advent calendars in this category - beauty and wellness - open them up, and give 2-3 small gifts in addition to the "main" Christmas gift. But maybe I'll buy this calendar for myself? I also think the box looks beautiful. The whole calendar is a great gift. I really like Lumene as a brand and have tested several of their products.
